Lindsay Baker completed the Master of Music program in Flute Performance at the University of Missouri – Kansas City Conservatory, under the tutelage of Dr. Mary Posses. She earned a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance at the University of Idaho’s Lionel Hampton School of Music, studying with University Distinguished Professor, Dr. Leonard Garrison, and also with Dr. Sophia Tegart. Ms. Baker was selected as piccoloist for the National Flute Association’s Collegiate Flute Choir at the Chicago NFA Convention, is a winner of the Kansas City Musical Club Scholarship Audition Competition, and was a finalist in the University of Idaho Concerto Competition.
 
Ensembles, artists, and organizations she has performed with include the Lima Symphony Orchestra, Southwest Ohio Philharmonic, Perrysburg Symphony Orchestra, New Albany Symphony Orchestra, Miami Valley Symphony Orchestra, Composers of Ohio Collaborative Organization for Acoustic Music (COCOA), Idaho Bach Festival, Bach Society of Dayton, Kettering Advent Ringers, Kettering Praise Orchestra, Jeremy Winston Chorale International, Grammy Award winner Marlow Rosado, and Tito Puente Jr. She has been a solo flute performing member of the Dayton Music Club since 2019, and has also performed in master classes for world-renowned flutists including William Bennett, Carol Wincenc, Jennifer Gunn, and Lorna McGhee.
 
In addition to being an active performer, Ms. Baker is the flute adjunct at Stivers School for the Arts, in Dayton, Ohio, and a flute instructor at Spring Valley Academy in Centerville, Ohio. She has been a flute masterclass clinician for the flute studio at Sand Dollar Music in Centerville, Ohio, and has served twice as an adjudicator for the National Federation of Music Clubs Federation Festival. She was elected and served four years as a board director for the Dayton Music Club, in Dayton, Ohio.
